YOUNGBIZ YBUK LTD WORKSHOPS- DELIVERED IN THE UK THROUGH BEGO COACHING AND TRAINING
Children explore the world of business in a fun,
practical and cross-curricular way. These engaging lessons allow
students to develop life-long personal, social and enterprising
skills and attitudes. Through interactive activities, pupils
identify enterprising skills within themselves. Generally we
deliver 4 of the following workshops in a day.
Shipwrecked |
Objective: To turn your skills and talents into money making ideas and understand the concept of trade and business. In groups, students are shipwrecked on a desert island. What are they to do? How do they survive? Encourages students to develop trading ideas with the use of character and situation cards. What are they good at? What could they do or use on the island? Role play. |
Citizenship Drama / History Problem Solving |
Have you got what it takes? |
Objective: To understand what an entrepreneur is and that anyone can be one, whilst identifying their own enterprising skills. Class discussion, then in groups students discuss what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Break down misconceptions regarding; colour, dress, age, gender. Then students take five objects to turn into enterprising money making ideas. Can each group create 5 ideas? |

The Cup Evolution |
Objective: To understand the phrase Target Market and the needs of it, and how to adapt a product to meet those needs. In groups, discover the varied target markets and then design a cup to meet the needs/difficulties/wants they have come up with. Feedback and features presented to the rest of the class, explaining why it will be a success. |

Sell Something! |
Objective: To develop presentation and communication skills by developing an advertisement for a product or service. In groups of 6-8 children must develop and present an advertisement for a product or service such as a ‘beach holiday’ or ‘healthy burger’. Presentations must include the whole team and be entertaining. Will they sing/dance/act? Do they develop props to assist? Who will take the lead? |
